Head of Legal

The Head of Legal will occupy a pivotal role in providing strategic legal guidance and support directly to the CEO / CFO / owners of a prominent group renowned for its services in distribution, retailing, and after-sales within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will serve as a key legal advisor, crafting and implementing legal strategies that align with the company's overarching business goals. Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as a key legal advisor to the senior management team, providing strategic input and advice on all legal matters affecting the company.
• Lead the legal department in supporting all areas of the business, ensuring legal conformity and minimizing risks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and contracts with a keen eye for detail.
• Ensure the company's compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the automotive or retail industry, with a particular focus on consumer rights and competitive law.
• Actively engage and build relationships with external legal firms or networks to support the company's legal needs.
• Foster a culture of high emotional intelligence within the team, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Keep abreast of changes in Saudi law and international legal standards that may impact the business, advising on legal strategies and adjustments as necessary. Requirements :
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in a legal advisory role, with a preference for candidates with experience in the automotive or retail sectors.
• A law degree from a recognized university, with qualifications to practice law in Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated experience working with independent legal firms or networks.
• High EQ, with the ability to manage sensitive situations diplomatically and foster strong internal and external relationships.
• Well-versed in Saudi law, with a strong understanding of consumer rights and competitive law.
• Proven track record of acting as a business partner, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
