RWJED-Accountant Supervisor

Overview

Assist in preparing comprehensive monthly reports of the financial results of the hotel in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Ensure all local, state / province and national taxes are deposited timely, and all related reports are filed on a timely basis. Responsibilities

Prepare accrued & prepaid expenses schedules and recurring journal vouchers. Prepare depreciation & amortization schedules and recurring journals. Post all journal vouchers to accounting system. Review and analyze actual to budget variances and report to the Chief Accountant. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis; clear any reconciling items monthly. Assist with annual budget preparation as assigned by Director Finance Business Partner. Complies with company policies. Takes on other tasks in addition to the ones stated, within a reasonable framework. Develops and updates policies and manuals related to the division / department for implementation in the field, ensuring consistency and compliance across the group. Conducts self in a professional manner to reflect high standards and encourage staff to do the same. Acts as a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are maintained. Models the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times. Required skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines for financial reports. High degree of professional integrity; able to work safely, effectively and efficiently. Ability to maintain good relationships with all hotel departments to promote effective internal control and financial advisory. Ability to communicate and follow all local and corporate policies and procedures. Qualifications

University / college graduate with major in Accounting. Experience

Thorough knowledge in accounting principles and procedures. Ability to assist in the preparation of financial reports or operating statements. Knowledge of relevant hotel policies.
