Manufacturing Technician (Robotic Welding) – Team Leader

Overview of the role and team leadership responsibilities for robot welding operations. Key Responsibilities Operate as the subject matter expert for robot welding equipment, balancing hands-on technical work with team leadership duties. Liaise with engineering teams and OEM representatives to develop new welding programs, tooling, and fixtures. Train, coach, and supervise a team of welding technicians on daily machine operations, best practices, and safe procedures. Monitor daily and weekly production plans, ensuring efficient material and labor allocation. Review technical drawings, interpret specifications, and ensure work aligns with quality standards. Participate in product development discussions, perform routine quality checks, and uphold safety and 5S standards. Support the creation of work instructions, daily reporting, and escalation of production issues as needed. Must-Have Qualifications Technical Diploma or Engineering Degree. Recognized welding qualification obtained within the Kingdom. Completion of a recognized course in welding robot programming (or demonstrated equivalent robot programming experience). Technician or qualified welder with 5–7 years of hands-on welding experience. Technician or qualified welder with 2–5 years of experience working specifically with robot welding systems. Minimum 2–5 years of proven team leadership in a production or manufacturing environment. Experience reading, interpreting, and working from technical drawings. Desired Skills Strong mechanical and analytical aptitude for operating advanced machinery and reading technical documentation. Excellent communication and training capabilities to support skill development of team members. Familiarity with ERP production planning, ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards, and safety best practices.
