Occupational Health & Safety Specialist (Industrial Zone) Lazem is a Saudi group specialized in providing comprehensive pre‑hospital healthcare and safety solutions at the highest international standards. Role Description To ensure a safe and compliant work environment across all factory and operational sites by implementing, monitoring, and improving occupational health and safety systems in accordance with ISO 45001 Certification, Saudi labor, OSHA and industrial safety regulations. The role focuses on preventing workplace incidents, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring all industrial activities meet legal and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and regularly update health, safety, (OHS) policies and procedures tailored to industrial and factory operations.

Conduct daily and periodic site inspections to identify unsafe practices, potential hazards, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory safety standards.

Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure availability for all employees and contractors.

Monitor and enforce compliance with chemical handling, machine operation, and hazardous material storage protocols.

Conduct risk assessments (HIRA / JSA) for high‑risk operations such as maintenance, welding, lifting, and confined space entry.

Coordinate with Civil Defense, Industrial Safety Authorities, and internal management regarding safety audits, permits, and emergency preparedness.

Lead fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency response training for all factory employees.

Investigate and document all accidents, incidents, and near‑misses, identify root causes, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Prepare and present safety performance reports (monthly / quarterly / annual) highlighting compliance levels, KPIs, and recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.

Recognized safety certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA (required).

Additional qualifications in Fire Safety, Chemical Safety, or Industrial Risk Management are preferred.

ISO 45001 : 2018 Certified

Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of Saudi labor law and industrial safety regulations.

Familiarity with Machinery Safety, Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), and Hazard Communication (HAZCOM).

Ability to conduct incident investigations and risk analyses effectively.

Excellent communication and reporting skills in both Arabic and English.

Proficiency in MS Office and safety management systems (HSE software).

Experience

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Hands‑on experience with factory safety, emergency response, and HSE audits is required.
