Technical Solutions Manager – Water Quality Process Analytical Instrumentation Reporting to the Country Manager of Saudi Arabia, the Technical Solutions Manager – Water Quality Process Analytical Instrumentation is the key front-line actor for strategic industrial and municipal accounts. You will work within a strong network of dedicated professionals who provide industry-leading customer service and support via Senior Leadership, Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Technical Support, Project Sales, Bids Team, and Technical Applications professionals.

The Technical Solutions Manager will develop technical awareness around the online / process measurement solutions that Hach provides to each customer, tailored to their specific needs and the industry in which they operate. They will assist the field sales team and respond to customer inquiries about the appropriate solutions, and provide incremental suggestions based on the customer’s requirements.

The Technical Solutions Manager is frequently on the road visiting customers. Traveling frequency is 4 days per week (approximately 2 : 3 weeks per month); overnight stays may be required at company-approved hotels.

What will I do in this role?

Proactively selling to existing and new industrial customers within a defined geographic territory to drive market penetration and accelerated sales growth.

Entrepreneurially target the industrial vertical by engaging in-person to build a funnel, prospect for new leads, provide existing customer account management, and project pursuit.

Leverage multiple selling resources including inside sales, distribution channel sales, and other sales resources to create a winning go-to-market strategy.

A typical day in this role includes : identifying and pursuing opportunities for business growth by researching market trends, cultivating relationships with potential clients, maintaining relationships with current clients, conducting technical sessions to promote HACH solutions, staying aware of water norms and regulations for each sector in Saudi industries, and developing sales strategies in coordination with key stakeholders; establishing relationships with regulatory bodies to communicate and advocate for the latest techniques in water monitoring.

Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop plans, strategies, and market growth.

Capture new business in alignment with the company’s technical expertise and strategic roadmap, including tracking and planning target market relationships, managing customer relationships, visiting key actual and potential customers, understanding customer technical and functional requirements, and translating product requirements to the Sales and Product teams.

Develop and execute a business plan to grow HACH across technologies and target market segments, while working with the Marketing team to coordinate campaigns and develop brand awareness.

Attend industry meetings to gather the voice of customer (VOC) and market information representing the company in order to develop plans and strategies to grow sales.

Foster growth of company interests and relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders; speak to groups of customers and industry professionals at meetings and trade shows.

Develop key customers as contractors, system integrators and end-users (e.g., NWC, SWCC), pursue OEM opportunities and strategic partnerships / alliances to promote sales; implement training to develop understanding and utilization of sales channels, product positioning and market trends to build and maintain opportunities that support recurring revenue and new revenue streams.

Act as liaison and technical expert to the Channel Partner to provide technical and sales / marketing information for problem solving and sales activity.

Identify, develop, and execute a pipeline of opportunities and engagements to achieve key sales targets and metrics. Document and track in CRM.

Coordinate and ensure alignment of ASTM, USP with Saudi norms and best practices.

Essential requirements

Bachelor's degree in a science-related field such as Environmental Science, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, or equivalent experience; a Master's degree is an asset

5 to 10 years' related technical experience and knowledge in water quality monitoring (e.g., technical support, water application specialist, water commissioning engineer, or business development engineer in water online (process) instruments with other makers)

Strong public speaking skills in English and Arabic

Demonstrated skills in business development management and knowledge of CRM software (SFDC or equivalent)

Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Valid driving license
