Material Planner

Job Description

Job Purpose:
To organize and manage cost effective Sourcing & Distribution management and to provide Logistics services in the most safe and economical manner in order to improve customer satisfaction and enhance profitability in an effective manner.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Managing the supply chain including product sourcing, meeting customer demands and other logistics activities
• Coordinate with sources for regular supply of gases / liquids as per demand and supply plan
• Handling import/Export DG Cargo Shipments (Tanks, Cylinders, Dewars) – Pure Gases and Mixtures
• Arranging Import /Export shipment of packaged gases and bulk liquids through cross borders– full coordination with Supply chain, Operation Team, Freight Forwarder and Custom clearing agents
• Arranging shipment from GCC to KSA; KSA to GCC
• Handling Local Deliveries and documentation required by Customer and obtain all Customs Formalities
  Provides teamwork with different departments such as Sales, Production and Supply chain
• Responsible for evaluating technology that leads to transport efficiency, safety adherence and improve customer service.
• Responsible to ensure customer satisfaction is enhanced through better transport planning and demand fulfillment.
• Responsible to co-ordinate on a day- to – day basis with production and sales for product availability and demand fulfillment.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable transport safety regulations and safety standards related to local Requirement and Transport Safety Manual.
• Track, update & follow up on inbound and outbound shipments
• Comply with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001standards, procedures and audit requirements
• Any other jobs assigned by direct manager

Skills

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree of Business / Supply chain management or Equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics, preferably in an industrial gas company or any DG companies
• Basic knowledge of compressed gas and bulk gases
• Self-motivated
• Good computer skills such as ERP, MS office and other software knowledge and experience
• Fluent in English and local language
