Purpose of the position

As Piping Designer , you will respond to the Lead Piping and be part of the Engineering team within scope . You will manage and support 10 people .

How can you support us?

• Execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA / QC and HSE requirements. Tasks include :
• Development technology know-how and commercial support
• Feasibility
• Bidding phase / Commercial proposal development
• Project execution
• Design, execute or check the typical Piping and Layout studies including :
• 3D modelling
• 3D model review with other disciplines and issue of clash check report
• Construction or design drawings using 2D software or extracted from 3D for piping networks (overall plot plan, equipment layout drawings, piping general arrangement, piping isometrics and piping supports)
• Bill of materials or material take off
• Extraction of bill of materials and other information from the 3D CAD model
• Organize the work of the team and follow-up the planning of resource mobilisation
• Coordinate the work of the team with the Piping and Layout engineers of the project
• Check input data and all documents issued by the team
• Ensure that all assumptions underpinning the team work align with project development and warn the project Piping and Layout Lead of any anomalies
• Supervise documents updating after comments issued by other disciplines or external stakeholders
• Provide feedback to the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by sharing lessons learned during the project
• Construction and start-up support
• Material management at site
• Engineering support during construction phase

What are we looking for?

Education : Master\'s Degree or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 4 years as a piping designer within the oil and gas industry

Technical Skills : IT Skills :

What else should you know?

You will have the opportunity to travel abroad based on the projects you will work for and within the scope assigned.
