This role involves advanced expertise in the Islamic finance industry, regulatory frameworks, governance and compliance, advisory services, research, and capacity building to support the development of Islamic finance in member and non-member countries. Job Purpose

To provide advanced level technical and professional expertise in the development of the Islamic Finance industry, products and services, and improvement in the overall industry\u2019s enabling environment. To act as a subject matter expert in Islamic Finance, regulatory frameworks, governance and compliance issues, and to disseminate knowledge through advisory services, research, and training at conferences and seminars. To contribute to the development and structuring of regulatory and legal frameworks to meet industry needs in member and non-member countries. To conduct market analysis, identify gaps in Islamic financial products and services, and propose viable solutions. To enable the environment by helping member countries establish organs and institutions pivotal for the development of the Islamic financial services industry. Key Accountabilities

Operational Planning

Provide inputs in the development of annual work plans and budget allocation for the division. Provide expert inputs in the development of strategic objectives and annual business plan for the Islamic Finance Advisory & Technical Assistance Unit. Monitor and oversee various projects to ensure the execution of Technical Assistance in proper ways and identify ways to minimize risk for the Bank. Product Development

Undertake technical assistance studies of the beneficiary market to assess products and services in the Islamic Financial Industry and Conventional Financing Industry to develop strategies for new Islamic financial products and services. Assess existing Islamic Finance Products (IFPs) and instruments for sustained performance and suggest improvements where required. Contribute to the development of innovative Islamic financial products, services and solutions for stakeholders including member countries, regulatory authorities, Islamic financial institutions, and other entities. Technical Assistance Project Management

Assess feasibility of technical assistance requests and prepare project approval documentation after due diligence and appraisal of the market, legal and regulatory environment, proposing suitable implementation plans. Manage global technical assistance programs and country-level projects, monitor progress, and recommend corrective actions as needed. Support supervision and management of TA implementation, including budget, resources, procurement, and deliverables. Supervise performance of consultants, contractors, and vendors engaged by the TA, ensuring deliverables align with contracts / SCOPes of Work. Monitor TA progress and provide timely reports to IsDB management and stakeholders, and prepare TA Completion Reports upon completion. Advisory Services And Analytics

Participate in international working groups and task forces on emerging Islamic Finance issues; analyze reports and standards; formulate recommendations. Provide advisory services, capacity building, and technical assistance to member and non-member countries and Islamic finance institutions. Contribute to IsDB MCPS and Country Assessment initiatives by producing Technical Notes and Policy Documents in Islamic Finance. Analyze international practices and emerging literature on Islamic finance issues and contribute to reports and publications. Deliver capacity building programs through advisory and analytical presentations on emerging issues in Islamic Finance for diverse contexts. Promotion

Contribute to policy dialogues with member countries for the development of Islamic finance and intra-regional integration. Support development of Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, takaful, Islamic microfinance, and Islamic social finance; undertake activities to create an enabling environment for these sectors. Research, Innovation And Knowledge Sharing

Oversee research in the Islamic Finance sector and monitor industry developments. Lead the development of knowledge products, reviews, briefs, and updates related to Islamic Finance and IsDB projects. Identify innovative Islamic finance instruments and services based on market needs. Promote the role of Islamic Infrastructure Institutions and provide advisory support to peers and IsDB management on Islamic Finance topics. Contribute to training programs on Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance for internal and external audiences. Academic And Professional Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics and / or Law. Minimum 8 years of experience in Islamic financial sector development, including at least 3 years in a multilateral development bank or related international organizations (e.g., IMF, IFSB, AAOIFI). Languages : English mandatory; Arabic and French preferred. Skills & Necessary Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of Islamic Finance, product development, and Shari\u2019ah compliance. Strong understanding of Islamic financial market infrastructure and enabling environment prerequisites. Proficient in Research Methodology and Project management. Ability to work independently in a high-performance team, be accurate and methodical, and work under pressure. About Application Process
