Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist
Reports to : HR Operation Manager
Job Summary
The Senior Compensation and Benefits Specialist plays a strategic role in designing, implementing, and administering competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs. This position ensures the organization's rewards philosophy aligns with its strategic objectives and market trends while complying with all relevant legal requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Responsibilities
- Compensation strategy and design
Design, develop, and implement compensation structures, salary bands, and incentive programs to align with the company's overall strategy.
Conduct comprehensive market analysis and benchmarking using industry surveys to ensure salary ranges and total rewards remain competitive.Lead job evaluation and job analysis processes to ensure accurate and consistent job leveling and classification across the organization.Benefits administrationAdminister all employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans (like GOSI contributions for Saudi nationals), and allowances (housing, transport, education).
Manage relationships with external vendors for benefit programs, including negotiation and renewals.Ensure the administration of statutory benefits, such as paid leave, sick leave, maternity leave, and end‑of‑service gratuity, in accordance with Saudi Labor Law.Communicate benefit programs and changes to employees effectively.Compliance and policyEnsure all compensation and benefits policies comply with Saudi labor laws and the Wage Protection System (WPS).
Track and analyze C&B data using HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to assess program effectiveness, budget adherence, and market trends.Prepare and present reports on compensation and benefits metrics to senior leadership to support data‑driven decisions.Conduct regular audits of compensation and benefits programs to ensure fairness, equity, and compliance.Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Finance. A relevant master's degree or certifications like CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) are often preferred.Experience : Typically requires 4‑6 years of experience in compensation and benefits, with more for senior roles.Technical expertiseStrong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with HRIS systems like SAP, Oracle, or other compensation management software.In‑depth knowledge of Saudi Labor Law and local market trends.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential data.Strong problem‑solving and project management abilities.Seniority level
