About the Role
- Plan daily inspection activities and surveillances.
- STOP work in the event of identifying any activity where a serious breach of Health, Safety, or Environmental standards is witnessed.
- Conduct audits to verify that plans & procedures are being followed, and that documentary evidence is produced and maintained (Desirable, non-essential).
- Coordinate with the KAFD construction staff, planning in advance any necessary inspections and testing activities.
- Maintain surveillance of Contractors QC Inspectors and collaborate with KAFD Inspectors.
- Conduct site visits for visual verification of procedure adherence, gather feedback from progress meetings, and report concerns from the general workforce, Supervisors, and Management.
- Ensure As-Built Quality Records are produced in respect to the ITPs.
- Surveillance of ITP content and the required compilation of records referenced within concerning materials specifications, tolerances, standards, certification of compliance, traceability, and use in the realization of the product.
- Timely taking of samples, their handling, curing, storage, and testing, where applicable.
- Ensure the existence of authorized ITPs at the workplace before / during the start of work activities.
- Ensure site QA / QC compliance through on-site surveillance or via QC Inspector reporting, including visual, feedback, and written reporting.
- Act decisively to curtail bad practices, waste, and non-value-adding activities, explaining likely derogatory effects of bad practices in a manner easily understandable to the individual or group involved.
- Engage in supply chain QC compliance on / off-site as required or advised by the Project QA / QC Manager.
- Be prepared to attend FATS & SATS dependent on the individual materials, tests, or services being inspected / tested as required by the Project QA / QC Manager.
- Reporting weekly and as additionally required.
- Capable of producing weekly and monthly reports to a high standard and detail as requested, including supplying information as requested by the QMS Engineer for a dashboard of QA / QC KPIs.
What do we need from you
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with experience gained within heavy infrastructure, civil engineering, or rail & metro projects.Experience in auditing (Minimum Internal ISO 9001 Internal Auditor).Knowledge of QA / QC principles, tools & techniques, ideally a quality qualification, or membership of a professional quality body.A minimum of 8 years’ experience in quality assurance and quality control on either infrastructure, civil engineering, or rail projects.Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written.#J-18808-Ljbffr
