CloudOps / SysOps Engineer - Remote

Description The role focuses on managing and monitoring Azure cloud infrastructure and on‑premises systems to ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Ongoing duties span infrastructure operations, automation, monitoring, and collaboration with development teams.

Azure Cloud Operations

Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure including VMs, VNets, load balancers, Azure AD, and storage accounts.

Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.

Administer Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and cost management tools.

Support Azure DevOps pipelines and assist with CI / CD implementations.

Configure and monitor Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and compliance policies.

On‑Premises System Operations

Maintain Windows and / or Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

Manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper‑V or VMware).

Support on‑prem backup solutions, patching, and routine maintenance tasks.

Troubleshoot hardware, storage, and network issues as needed.

Automate routine system tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Ensure proper monitoring and alerting using tools like Azure Monitor, SCOM, or third‑party platforms.

Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.

Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document operational procedures.

Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure smooth deployments and secure environments.
