FINANCIAL RETURNS
Work within the monthly food cost budget, adjust requisitions to reduce waste and spoilage. Create and implement menus, recipes, costing, and food quality standards. Control all food requisitions and orders to ensure proper quantities and best quality are purchased. PEOPLE
Provide direction to the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie. Educate and train team members in compliance with company standards, service behaviors, and country regulations. Continually train staff on a regular basis. GUEST EXPERIENCE
Communicate politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers. Establish and maintain guest relations, deal effectively with guest issues, and take appropriate action to resolve guest complaints. Ensure guest needs and reasonable requests are met. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
Ensure that equipment, stores, and working areas are in proper operational condition and cleaned regularly. Maintain high quality of food up to the hotel standard. Ensure all hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards are followed at all times. ACCOUNTABILITY
Maintain a high standard of service to uphold the hotel's image and provide star-class service by fulfilling your duties as a Sous Chef professionally and efficiently. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must possess a High School Degree, Culinary Arts Graduate, Basic Food Hygiene Certificates, and at least two years of experience in a similar position (preferably in a five-star hotel). Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential; knowledge of other languages such as Arabic or Hindi is preferred. Basic computer skills are also appreciated.
