Overview
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in rotating equipment maintenance, power plant operations, and mechanical project execution with strong troubleshooting and communication skills. The role involves mechanical engineering oversight, project planning, and compliance with standards for gas compression plant construction, requiring strong leadership and technical acumen. Responsibilities Provide mechanical engineering oversight for projects, including planning, design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements; coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Lead mechanical design and construction for infrastructure and facilities, including water, gas, and electrical systems, and manage project delivery against schedules and budgets.
Supervise on-site activities, provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors, and ensure quality control and client satisfaction.
Develop and review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and procurement documentation using software tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Assess project risks, prepare technical proposals, and support business development and sustainability initiatives.
Coordinate with international teams (e.g., Chinese experts) to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Support piping systems, pump selection, and firefighting and other mechanical systems in brownfield and greenfield projects.
Participate in system design for substations, automation projects, and large-scale infrastructure programs.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
Experience in mechanical integrity programs, rotating equipment, reliability methodologies, and project management in industrial environments (oil & gas, power, water, or smelting sectors).
Strong knowledge of international codes and standards, engineering software, and ability to prepare detailed drawings and specifications.
Proven ability to supervise teams, communicate effectively with clients, and manage multidisciplinary project delivery.
Saudi national candidates with relevant Mechanical Engineering degrees and experience are welcomed for senior roles where specified.
Five years of construction experience may be required for certain roles, preferably with major operators such as Saudi Aramco.
