Executive Director - Events Bureau COR408

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a proactive and dynamic Executive Director for our Events Bureau. This critical leadership position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive event strategy that aligns with Qiddiya's vision to create a world-class entertainment destination. You will lead the planning, organization, and management of events that attract visitors and enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of Events Bureau function within DMMO
• Define and refresh events strategy for MICE, leisure and other events with the purpose of attracting visitor expenditure and driving economic growth
• Define & adjust all DMMO events calendar
• Develop new MICE, leisure and other events
• Identify & bid for key MICE, leisure and other events (lead generating activities and convert event leads)
• Maximize income-generating opportunities from events activities at Qiddiya City
• Coordinate events efforts for 'Qiddiya City' across relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to Corporate, DMMO, Districts, and Assets
• Coordinate calendar and events efforts with STA and other DMOs at KSA-level
• Co-manage the Ambassador Program with Branding & Marketing ED to help attract new events
• Coordinate and host FAM trips / site inspections
• Attract and support tourism service companies
• Produce reports as required by Head of DMMO
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• A minimum of 15+ years of experience in event management or related fields, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to conceptualize and execute large-scale events that attract significant audiences.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve excellence.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated financial management capabilities, with experience managing budgets effectively.
• Previous experience in the travel market and tourism industry, along with a strong understanding of the entertainment industry and current market trends.
• Experience in building partnerships and working with governmental and community organizations.
