Lab Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Analyst to join our team in the Project & Construction Planning industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of materials used in construction projects, particularly focusing on water treatment processes. As a Lab Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on construction materials, including those used in water treatment systems, to ensure they meet regulatory standards and project specifications. Your expertise will be essential in providing insights into material properties and performance, which are critical for the success of our projects.

In this role, you will prepare samples for testing, maintain laboratory equipment, and meticulously document results. You will also develop new testing methods and improve existing protocols to enhance efficiency and accuracy, particularly in the context of water treatment materials. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be vital in identifying potential issues early in the project lifecycle, thus contributing to the overall success of our construction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and chemical tests on construction materials, including those specific to water treatment processes, to assess their quality and compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and analyze samples, ensuring proper handling and documentation throughout the testing process.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, performing regular calibration and troubleshooting as necessary.
• Develop and implement new testing methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in material analysis, especially for water treatment applications.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to interpret test results and provide recommendations based on findings related to water treatment materials.
• Document all testing procedures and results accurately, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the training of junior lab staff and interns on best practices in laboratory procedures and safety.
• Participate in quality control audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in material testing and laboratory practices related to water treatment.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
