Finance Manager - Saudi National role at Clifford Chance . Key Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of Accounts Payables with support from the offshore service centre in Delhi.
- Delivering the monthly Management Accounts within global reporting deadlines, with a suitable level of accuracy, high-level variance analysis, and reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts. The Global Shared Service Centre in Delhi assists with postings, analysis schedules, reconciliations and report generation, and need guidance.
- Review and control of interoffice current accounts between the region and other offices, working closely with the Delhi team.
- Quarterly review with the Finance Director and sign-off of the balance sheet for Riyadh for all accounts.
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the Revenue Manager and continuous improvement of cash flow forecasting schedules.
- Work with heads of business services departments to compile and manage budgets, with monthly cost reviews.
- Assist with the compilation and submission of the annual Budget and bi-annual Forecasts in the Hyperion Planning tool, including headcount, costs and income.
- Assist with Financial System upgrades or replacements as appropriate.
- Prepare the monthly Payroll for the Riyadh office in collaboration with HR; maintain attention to detail and good working relationships with HR.
- Ensure payroll compliance and manage statutory / regulatory changes across jurisdictions (e.g., WPS, changes in GOSI). Coordinate with payroll supplier for software changes if required.
- Review Partners' payments (where necessary) and complete monthly returns.
- Identify tasks suitable for transition to the Delhi team and provide support to those teams.
- Complete statutory requirements for filing accounts and tax returns in Riyadh and liaise with local tax advisors; handle ad hoc tax compliance and queries in the region.
- Assist the Finance Director with audits (internal and external) and implement new controls as appropriate.
- Manage local relationships with insurers and banks, including completing annual insurance questionnaires.
- From time to time, undertake ad hoc work for the Finance Director.
Qualifications
Qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience producing Management Accounts and budgets.Experience of auditing and preparing statutory accounts is advantageous; payroll experience is also beneficial.Bright, highly motivated, adaptable and organized self-starter, accustomed to a busy environment.Ability to make effective decisions, manage time and suggest process improvements.Strong interpersonal skills, able to work closely with the finance team, partners and lawyers; confident and influential with adaptable communication style.Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion Planning is advantageous.Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Word.Additional Information
