Your Mission

Reporting to the KSA / Gulf Solution Supply Chain Leader in the Global Customer Projects Division & Service Operation, you will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing process (Outside Group) from supplier sourcing up until purchase‑order execution. Within the Customer Project Execution Center, you will support Tender and Execution operational teams in supply management on a portfolio of critical multi‑business projects and act as a project team member measuring Return on Investment (RoI) project‑wise.

You will be located in Saudi Arabia supporting SE Global Customer Projects and Service Operation. You’ll work on a wide range of projects that positively impact sustainability & efficiency and be part of a highly diversified team from around the globe.

Your Role – Magic Happens When You Bring Great People Together!

  • Issue requests for proposal (RFP / RFQ) to suppliers and conduct negotiations to ensure the best ratio of quality, time, and cost.
  • Improve supplier performance throughout the cycle, including continuous quality improvement and delivery performance management.
  • Evaluate breakdown of purchasing costs using all available tools and methods for cost evaluation.
  • Write contracts with suppliers ensuring specification compliance and an adequate level of risk.
  • Secure professional negotiations with shortlisted vendors / sub‑contractors, including back‑to‑back conditions with the head contract.
  • Manage the supplier award and selection criteria.
  • Ensure awarded vendors have undergone the correct qualification process.
  • Act as a true partner to the project team in execution and address escalations concerning subcontractors, unsettled claims, and variation orders.
  • Deploy levers in the supply chain and procurement process to enhance overall competitiveness.
  • Define a specific purchasing strategy for the project, focusing on high‑stake / high‑risk commodities and prioritising tasks based on the project timeline.
  • Oversee supplier selection from tendering through cash collection, integrating all spec aspects (cost, lead‑time, technology, quality, flexibility, logistics, financing, make‑or‑buy decisions), managing RFI, RFQ, and bid tabulation based on total cost of ownership (TCO) and securing the negotiation process.
  • Assess supply‑chain risks and mitigate them early through audits, contractual clauses, and supplier development plans.
  • Handle contractual relationships with suppliers, managing potential claims.
  • Manage the purchasing order process ethically, securing the assets of SE.
  • Secure supply deliveries, manage risk mitigation plans with suppliers, and proactively trigger necessary reminders.
  • Contribute as a team member to better serve customers, considering change orders and customer expectations while selecting flexible suppliers.

Education

University Msc / Bsc Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Degree

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • French language will be a plus
  • Experience & Skills Requirements

  • 6 years of strong knowledge with proven experience in purchasing and solution procurement.
  • Proven cross‑culture exposure in Middle East countries, especially in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
  • Proven experience in mapping and building supplier relationship strategies.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Winning personality and a team player.
  • High level of customer centricity.
  • Agile leadership and ability to collaborate in matrix organizations.
