Job Description - HEAVY DUTY DRIVER (ACC00009B)
Description
Performs work in the operation of a vehicle to assure safe transportation of staff from camp to project location. May assist in the transport of equipment, and food deliveries. May be required to drive injured / sick personnel to clinic. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a variety of records, such as purpose of trip, number of passengers per day, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Drives an assigned route to transport staff to and from camp to project.
- Assumes responsibility for care and maintenance of vehicle.
- Washes vehicle and cleans interior; takes vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair.
- May operate a truck / van to transport meals to various outlets / sites.
- Provide transport to staff members requiring health care
- May drive departing staff to area office / airport.
- To deliver all mails to site as required.
- Drive the different vehicles for traffic registration and inspection.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of automotive equipment.Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures.Ability to deal effectively and patiently with others.Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.To maintain vehicle registration paper.To emphasize the no-smoking policy in all vehicles.#J-18808-Ljbffr
