Electrical Procurement Engineer

Studying all project documents related to electrical SOW (Bill of quantities, BOQ, DWGs, Specifications, time schedules) and all other contractual terms affecting the commercial management of materials required.

Splitting electrical packages to be sent for quotations (RFQ) from accredited suppliers.

Preparing compliance statements for all electrical packages according to project specifications to ensure technical compliance and submission with the consultant.

Following up with the consultant and project staff on material approval status.

Collecting commercial and technical offers from different suppliers.

Creating comparison sheets with all necessary data such as prices, taxes, performance bonds, retentions, delivery periods, and payment terms.

Analyzing supplier offers to select the most suitable suppliers capable of delivering high-quality products at competitive prices.

Negotiating with suppliers on lead times, costs, and quality to maximize benefits for the company.

Ensuring all offers are within the approved project budget to achieve cost savings.

Issuing purchase orders (POs) or contracts based on previous studies, including all bonds with suppliers to guarantee delivery, price stability, performance, and warranties.

Following up on meetings with suppliers and the material management department to review procurement progress.

Evaluating supplier performance and coordinating on continuous quality improvement.

Managing suppliers to meet objectives related to cost, delivery, schedule, and quality.

Developing sourcing strategies based on portfolio analysis and supplier preference studies.

Ensuring compliance with commercial, legal, and contractual standards in all procurement transactions, adopting appropriate supplier management methodologies to secure better prices.

Skills

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Report writing skills

Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous

Valid driving license

Integrity and confidentiality

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to multitask and work under pressure

Self-starter with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude

Negotiation and networking skills

Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement roles
