Job Purpose Statement :
The Sr. Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence within the department. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can develop and execute business strategies, manage financial performance, and support the professional development of the team. The Senior Manager acts as a bridge between operational staff and senior leadership, ensuring seamless communication, compliance with company policies, and continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of departments and sections, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Report operational deviations and significant issues to the VP - Airports Lounges.
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategic objectives for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure staff compliance with instructions and directives issued by the VP - Airports Lounges.
- Ensure 100% adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) across all operational areas.
- Lead the implementation and usage of new systems and tools, including UCAS, across all business units.
- Oversee the timely submission of critical reports (daily / monthly sales, passenger statistics, temperature records, and inventory) to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct regular evaluations of lounge menus, gather passenger feedback, and recommend adjustments to the VP - Airports Lounges.
- Ensure the highest quality of food and service delivery across Airport Lounge business units.
- Oversee compliance with hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards for all food and beverage areas, ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance protocols.
- Lead food tastings and kitchen inspections on a monthly basis.
- Drive profitability by ensuring operational expenses are aligned with budgets.
- Control food and beverage consumption to reduce waste and optimize costs.
- Support the VP - Airports Lounges in budget preparation and financial forecasting using data-driven insights.
- Review and analyze food costs, ensuring they align with budgets and cost control objectives.
- Explore opportunities for cost reduction, such as alternative suppliers or process improvements.
- Ensure proper control and tracking of fixed assets, backup equipment, and operational resources.
- Supervise and verify inventory of food and beverage stocks, ensuring proper documentation.
- Ensure proper recording and tracking of incoming and outgoing equipment using standardized checklists.
- Monitor staff performance, identify career growth opportunities, and recommend promotions, increments, and contract renewals.
- Motivate and empower staff through recognition, support, and clear delegation of responsibilities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
- Ensure adequate staffing, optimal manpower utilization, and fair workload distribution.
- Organize team-building activities, meetings, and gatherings to foster collaboration and morale.
- Lead training and development initiatives to ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor customer feedback, handle complaints and suggestions promptly and professionally.
- Take corrective actions on passenger feedback, complaints, and suggestions via email, phone, or written communication.
- Collaborate with in-charge personnel to address customer issues and ensure passenger satisfaction.
- Implement corrective actions for quality issues to meet hygiene and food safety standards.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks for food shelf life, expiration dates, and condition before delivery and during pickup.
- Ensure proper documentation of quality checks for audits.
- Identify and implement workflow, policy, and procedure improvements for efficiency.
- Use operational data insights to identify growth opportunities and process enhancements.
- Lead initiatives to explore new business opportunities in airline and non-airline sectors.
- Attend daily briefings with the VP - Airports Lounges to discuss operational matters.
- Ensure effective communication with supervisors and section in-charges.
- Act as a liaison between departments, sharing operational data, reports, and statistics timely.
- Report operational, financial, and administrative metrics to senior leadership.
- Provide insights and recommendations for performance improvement and risk mitigation.
- Lead audits and follow up on corrective actions, ensuring accountability.
- Explore opportunities to expand operations within airline and non-airline industries.
- Identify strategic partnerships to drive growth and efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, in accordance with Saudi Labor Law and cybersecurity policies, including data handling, intellectual property rights, and incident reporting.
