Overview
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing maintenance activities for equipment and machinery used in poultry processing or poultry farms (broiler / breeder / hatchery). The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring minimal downtime, in compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of poultry equipment (feeders, drinkers, HVAC, incubators, conveyors, chillers, etc.) Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs. Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations with technicians and support staff. Maintains maintenance logs, records, and reports as per company and regulatory standards. Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure equipment efficiency and reliability. Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement as needed. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HACCP, biosecurity, and safety standards. Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems. Support energy efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability initiatives. Provide technical training to maintenance staff when required. Seniority level
