Join Our Team – Lead the Future of Enterprise Networking & Security in Riyadh! We are looking for a highly skilled Network & Security Engineer to join our enterprise IT operations team. This is a critical hands-on role responsible for ensuring network stability, cybersecurity resilience, and service excellence for a mission-critical environment that supports thousands of users. This position offers the chance to work with enterprise-grade, multi-vendor infrastructure ( Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Citrix ) and contribute to NCA ECC & ISO 27001 compliance initiatives while driving continuous improvement in network performance and security posture.

Employment Type : 1-Year Renewable Contract (with transition support to ensure continuity if the contract is awarded to another vendor)
Note : This is a core, hands-on role within enterprise IT operations.
Responsibilities
- Network Operations & Administration
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot core, distribution, and access switching (Fortinet FS-648F, FS-624F, FS-2048F, FS-1024E).
- Configure VLANs, OSPF / BGP routing, STP / RSTP, LACP, QoS for Webex and VoIP.
- Design and secure wireless infrastructure (FortiAP-441K-E, 234G-E) with 802.1X authentication and NAC integration .
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor PoE budgets, uplinks, port utilization, RF health .
- Perform capacity planning, firmware upgrades, and patching with minimal disruption.
- Troubleshoot roaming issues and deliver seamless Wi-Fi 6 / 6E coverage.
- Firewall, Security & Load Balancing
- Manage Fortinet FG-2601F HA firewalls – rules, NAT, VPN tunnels, and segmentation.
- Conduct quarterly firewall reviews , remove stale objects, and document changes.
- Administer NAC policies , F5 LTM , Citrix ADC , and WAF (FortiWeb / F5 ASM) to protect against OWASP Top 10 threats.
- Monitor logs, SIEM alerts ( FortiAnalyzer, Wazuh ) and threat feeds.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and escalate high-severity incidents per SLA.
- Maintain network topology diagrams, configuration backups, coverage maps .
- Align configurations with NCA ECC, CIS Benchmarks , and client standards.
- Provide audit evidence and contribute to HLD / LLD, SOPs, and risk assessments.
- Partner with SOC, systems, and helpdesk teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Participate in CAB meetings, on-call rotations , and engage vendor TACs (Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5).
- Define network / security roadmaps aligned with business goals.
- Mentor junior engineers & L1 teams , ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.7+ years hands-on experience in network engineering & cybersecurity.Preferred Certifications : Fortinet NSE 4–7, Cisco CCNP Enterprise / Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, ITIL v4 FoundationTechnical Expertise
