Overview
Operate radiological equipment; perform routine and general procedures to produce the radiographs of designated portions of the human body, exercising proper safety and radiation protection at all times. Adhere to strict regulations of radiation safety due to radiation hazards. Assume responsibility in designated areas of procedures as required. Responsibilities
Perform and assist all staff in all radiological procedures in accordance with established procedures. Assist technical quality of Radiographs / images and proper functioning of equipment in designated areas. Handle the delegated areas of authority in performance of routine procedures with little or no supervision. Handle other related duties, such as PACS monitoring, maintain records of x-ray taken, stocks of supplies. Perform related duties which may be required during emergencies. Use specific techniques, equipment, and accessories to protect patient and hospital personnel from hazards of radiation. Prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examination. Assist Radiologist in fluoroscopic examination. Place identifying marker on all films taken. Assist in other duties as required by the Chief Technologist / Radiologists. Provide and protect the confidentiality of any information, either medical or personal, acquired through professional contact with the patient. Ensure the care and safety of all patients undergoing examination to ensure it is done in the best and proper way. Observe infection control standards laid down in policy documents, particularly with respect to sterile procedures. Participate actively in the departmental Quality Assurance and In Service programs. Provide patient and family education as per the needs. Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG. Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity. Perform other related duties that are applicable to the radiology department and as requested by the radiology head of department. Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree Professional : Radiologic Technology Experience
At least Three (3) years of experience in Radiology in an acute care Hospital. Certification & Licensing
BLS certification Licensing : Valid Saudi Council Additional Details
