ICT Senior Engineer

Job Description

• Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer, with emphasis on heavy water systems and aquatic engineering applications.

• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures, including water quality metrics, system performance indicators, and heavy water operational parameters.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, testing, and analysis related to water treatment systems and heavy water operations.
• Proposes approaches to solve new problems encountered in water systems using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identifies discrepancies in results and troubleshoots water system performance issues.
• Provides guidance to entry-level engineers on heavy water systems, water treatment protocols, and related technical procedures.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision, ensuring compliance with water safety and environmental standards.
• Independently performs all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for water systems and heavy water engineering works.
• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position with demonstrated heavy water or advanced water systems expertise.

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in water engineering, heavy water systems, or related aquatic engineering disciplines
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in water treatment systems design, operation, and optimization
• Proven experience with heavy water systems, isotope separation, or advanced water processing technologies
• Strong proficiency in engineering calculations, system analysis, and technical troubleshooting
• Experience with water quality assessment, monitoring, and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently on complex engineering assignments with minimal supervision
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
• Demonstrated mentoring or leadership experience with junior engineering staff

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Master's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification
• Experience with regulatory compliance and environmental safety standards in water systems
• Familiarity with CAD software and engineering modeling tools
• Background in project management and budget oversight
• Experience in research and development of innovative water treatment solutions
• Knowledge of industrial or nuclear water systems applications
