Client is looking for Risk Engineer
Project Type : Oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, refinery- EPC and EPCM
Location: Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia

Requirements/Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, PMP, AACE, ARM, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 13 years of experience in project controls, risk management, and major capital project delivery.
• Proven experience with globally recognized EPC, EPCM, and PMC organizations.
• Demonstrated experience managing risk on mega projects valued at USD 1 Billion+.
• Extensive experience across project lifecycle phases including Concept, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up.
• Strong understanding of project controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and change management.
• Experience conducting quantitative risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of project risk management processes for large Mining & Metals EPC, EPCM, and PMC projects.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops with project stakeholders and discipline leads.
• Develop, maintain, and update project risk registers.
• Identify and assess project risks related to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, HSE, commercial, and regulatory activities.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis and cost risk analysis using industry-standard tools.
• Support development and monitoring of risk mitigation and contingency plans.
• Analyze project schedules and cost estimates to identify potential risk exposure.
• Track risk actions and monitor effectiveness of mitigation measures.
• Support project controls teams in integrating risk management with planning, scheduling, and cost control functions.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, heat maps, and management presentations.
• Participate in project reviews, assurance audits, and stage-gate assessments.
• Monitor emerging risks and provide recommendations to project management teams.
• Support change management and claims avoidance processes from a risk perspective.
• Contribute to lessons learned initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Ensure compliance with company risk management procedures and ISO 31000 standards.
• Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams to ensure effective risk communication.
• Support business case development, feasibility studies, and project execution planning activities.
• Assist in portfolio-level and enterprise risk management activities where required.
