Client is looking for Risk Manager
Project Type : Oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, refinery- EPC and EPCM
Location: Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia

Requirements/Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management, or related discipline.
• Master's degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration (MBA), or related field preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMI-RMP, PMP, AACE, ARM, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 20+ years of experience in project controls, risk management, and major capital project delivery.
• Minimum 15+ years of risk management experience on large Mining & Metals projects.
• Proven experience with globally recognized EPC, EPCM, and PMC organizations.
• Demonstrated experience managing risk on mega projects valued at USD 1 Billion+.
• Extensive experience across project lifecycle phases including Concept, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-Up.
• Strong understanding of project controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, and change management.
• Experience conducting quantitative risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the project risk management function for large-scale Mining & Metals EPC, EPCM, and PMC projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Project Risk Management Plans in accordance with corporate and project requirements.
• Establish project risk frameworks, methodologies, standards, tools, and governance processes.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops with project stakeholders across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic, commercial, technical, schedule, cost, HSE, operational, and regulatory risks.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, including Monte Carlo simulations and probabilistic analysis.
• Develop and maintain project risk registers and action tracking systems.
• Monitor risk mitigation measures and ensure timely closure of mitigation actions.
• Support project controls teams in integrating risk analysis with schedule and cost management processes.
• Assess opportunities alongside threats to support project value optimization.
• Prepare risk reports, risk dashboards, and executive presentations for senior management and project leadership teams.
• Interface with owners, contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders to manage project risk exposure.
• Support contract risk reviews, claims evaluation, change management, and dispute avoidance activities.
• Participate in project gate reviews, assurance reviews, and investment decision processes.
• Ensure alignment of risk management activities with project objectives, budget, schedule, and corporate governance requirements.
• Lead lessons learned workshops and promote continuous improvement in risk management practices.
• Mentor and develop risk engineers and project controls personnel.
• Provide risk management support from project concept, FEED, execution, commissioning, and handover stages.
