Senior Network & Security Engineer

Job Description

Design, implement, configure, manage, and maintain secure and highly available enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and network security systems. Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex network and security issues. Design and support network infrastructure for IT and physical security systems, including CCTV, IP Cameras, VMS, and Access Control. Handle network design, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, security, site surveys, testing, commissioning, project handover, documentation, and coordination with IT, security systems, project teams, vendors, and clients. Provide technical guidance to network technicians and junior engineers and participate in network upgrades and infrastructure expansion projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and network security.
  
• CCNA certification or equivalent networking knowledge is required.
  
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent professional-level certification is preferred.
  
• Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent firewall/security certification is highly preferred.
  
• Strong experience with Cisco switches and routers or equivalent enterprise networking products.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls.
  
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, Subnetting, VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, OSPF, and BGP.
  
• Strong experience with IPSec VPN, SSL VPN, and Site-to-Site VPN.
  
• Experience with network security, segmentation, ACLs, and firewall policies.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and packet analysis skills.
  
• Practical experience with Wireshark and network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or Zabbix.
  
• Good understanding of fiber-optic networks, SFP/SFP+, PoE, and structured cabling.
  
• Experience with CCTV/VMS and IP-based physical security networks is highly preferred.
  
• Ability to prepare network diagrams, IP addressing plans, VLAN matrices, and technical documentation.
  
• Good English communication and technical reporting skills.
  

Requirements
Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. PMP certification is preferred. ITIL certification or certifications related to Operation & Maintenance and Services Management are considered an additional advantage. Specialized courses or certifications in ELV / Security Systems are preferred. Minimum Required Skills & Experience 5-7 years of experience in Project Management, preferably in Operation & Maintenance (O&M) projects. Experience in managing Security Systems and ELV projects. Knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, VMS, Perimeter Security, and Networks. Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance and following up on work orders and service requests. Knowledge of KPIs and SLAs and experience in preparing performance reports. Ability to manage project teams, resources, costs, risks, and project scope. Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, and English language.
