Overview
CBS is seeking a skilled Wet Utilities Engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and management of wet utility systems, including water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that projects meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and sustainability goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting feasibility studies, preparing design specifications, analyzing system capacities, and providing recommendations for improvements or innovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in wet utilities engineering and the ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the construction of wet utility systems, including water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for various wet utility projects
- Prepare technical reports, design drawings, and specifications to support project development
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and provide recommendations for upgrades or repairs
- Participate in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in wet utilities engineering
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related disciplineA minimum of 14 years of experience in wet utilities engineering or a related fieldProficiency in hydraulic modeling software and design toolsStrong understanding of relevant regulations and environmental standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProfessional Engineering license (PE) is preferred but not requiredSeniority level
