Instrumentation Technician

Overview

An Instrumentation Technician is a highly skilled professional responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of automated systems.

Main Responsibilities

• To conduct inspection and check-up all instrumentation equipment / devices on the given area to ensure 100% efficiency is always attained. Check for leaks and any abnormal condition and performance of the device on the process area. Maintain cleanliness of each instrument.
• Check for PLC panel cooling system and maintain cleanliness of the whole panel.
• Pull-out, install, loop check, test, and repair electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
• If any Issue found in the instrument / equipment do corrective action if possible during normal run or if not possible to attend inform supervisor / Engineer immediately.
• Perform any pending instrumentation activities on area of responsibility as per directions from Supervisor / Engineer.
• Perform activities for improvements such us modification and upgrades as per directions from Supervisor / Engineer.
• Record calibration made, parts and component used or replaced for reference and equipment history purposes.
• Implement proper housekeeping on the work area and employ safety practices during installation, pull-out, calibration and maintenance of the instrument.
