Job Description
The stewarding supervisor oversees, coordinates, and inspects all activities in the facility, including kitchen staff and external workers. They supervise environmental cleanliness, ensure adherence to food service protocols, and report to the facility manager.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support the steward team during events by providing logistical assistance, such as setting up equipment and cleaning.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed by staff at all times.
- Conduct hiring processes for new stewards, including reviewing applications and interviewing candidates.
- Maintain a safe environment for event attendees.
- Develop and implement training programs for new stewards.
- Supervise event staff, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
- Manage inventory levels of supplies like paper towels, napkins, soap, cleaning products, and food items.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Determine staffing needs based on event attendance and other factors.
- Promote a safe environment within the building for all end-users.
- Build positive working relationships within the team.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained, clean, and pest-free.
- Follow departmental rules and regulations to ensure safety.
- Attend required training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as delegated within your knowledge, skills, and abilities.
