Role
As assigned by the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Officer is responsible for executing all procurement activities for the assigned project(s), ensuring materials, equipment, and subcontracted services are sourced, evaluated, and procured in line with company procedures, project specifications, and cost targets. The role involves vendor evaluation, bid analysis, purchase order preparation, and coordination with suppliers, engineers, and site teams to ensure timely and compliant procurement execution.
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Procurement Manager or Project Procurement Lead, depending on project structure.
 - Receive procurement requisitions from the project team and verify accuracy, clarity, and completeness of information before initiating sourcing.
 - Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are clearly defined.
 - Evaluate vendor quotations, prepare bid comparison sheets, and coordinate with engineering teams for technical evaluations.
 - Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other commercial conditions within delegated authority.
 - Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with approved procedures and ensure vendor acknowledgment.
 - Monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and compliance with purchase order terms.
 - Maintain and update procurement logs, PO trackers, and material status reports to ensure transparency and traceability.
 - Coordinate with Expeditor, Logistics, and Finance teams for timely delivery, shipment clearance, and invoice processing.
 - Support the Procurement Manager in maintaining an approved vendor database and sourcing new suppliers as required.
 - Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, client requirements, and ethical standards.
 
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in project procurement within construction, MEP, or data centre projects.Qualification commensurate with the position : Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Engineering.Strong knowledge of procurement processes, commercial terms, and contract administration.Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ERP / procurement systems.Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.Seniority level
