About the job
The Head Coach – Martial Arts is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of all martial arts programs at Sportplex. This includes supervising coaching staff, designing training curriculums for different disciplines (such as Karate, Taekwondo, Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts…etc), ensuring safe and effective training environments, and fostering personal growth, respect, and discipline among all students. The role combines leadership, technical expertise, and operational management to ensure a high‑quality martial arts experience for members of all ages and skill levels.
Job Accountabilities
- Design and deliver structured martial arts programs for all skill levels.
- Develop annual training plans, manuals, and grading systems.
- Lead, train, and mentor full‑time and part‑time coaching staff.
- Maintain consistency in teaching, discipline, and performance standards.
- Plan and oversee tournaments, seminars, and community events.
- Ensure top‑quality facilities, equipment, and safety compliance.
- Manage class schedules, attendance, and student retention.
- Collaborate with the Sports Management team on operations and budgets.
- Represent SportPlex in regional events and partnerships.
- Promote an inclusive, respectful, and empowering environment for all members.
- Drive continuous improvement and uphold international training standards.
- Technical and tactical expertise in martial arts disciplines.

Experience
