Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs. Research material costs to ensure the accuracy of information in the company's accounting system. Evaluate the Bill of Material (BOM) for each product. Prepare budgeting reports for the company and each department. Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Examine costs to determine the most efficient methods. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies. Recommend cost efficiencies and initiate corrective actions to resolve cost discrepancies. Participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records. Analyze and report profit margins internally. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts.
