Engineer, Ro Operations

2. JOB PURPOSE :

Monitor and ensure the efficient RO operation, reliability & safety of the RO Plant & related auxiliaries during overall shifts and make sure that the plant parameters are maintained within the required standard in order to ensure continued operation of the RO plant in a safe & reliable manner. Investigate and report incidents, suggest changes in operational mode. Review specifications and engineering work and solve technical problems. 3. JOB DIMENSIONS :

Monitor and follow-up the execution of the RO Plant production plan to ensure the maximum utilization of the facility and its auxiliaries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Maintenance Coordination :

Follow RO Shift Supervisor Reports for major operational abnormalities to the maintenance department and follow up to ensure proper response and work continuity. Reports :

Prepare regular incident and budget inputs for operations activities for future reference and superintendent review. Training :

Plan the training activities such as OJT and external training for assigned Control Room and Field Operators to improve their performance of the current job and develop their capabilities. General Operations :

Follow up the operations through the work instructions given by the operations superintendent. Technical Process :

Work closely with RO Plant team to lead the technical process enhancement, propose initiatives to superintendent that will result in improved workflow, productivity, and efficiency. New Projects :

Study technical specifications of new projects; coordinate with consultants and contractors all project activities. Cost Control :

Coordinate with superintendent for Monitoring the financial performance of the RO Plant section against budgets. Policies & Procedures :

Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures, controls, and protection testing. Safety, Quality & Environment :

Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls. 5. JOB CONTEXT :

The jobholder is directly reporting to The Water Production Department Manager, Yanbu. The prime responsibility of the jobholder is to manage and supervise the RO Plant facility and its auxiliaries in order to maximize the facility utilization, minimize costs and achieve the overall water production department's objectives. 6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS :

Daily status meeting with RO Superintendent, Maintenance, Engineering, Contracting and Plant Engineering Departments for work coordination and progress discussion / reporting. 7. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY :

The jobholder operates under the general guidance of Superintendent on all routine issues related to the RO Plant. Job Specification

8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS : Minimum Qualifications :

University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum Experience :

3 - 5 years relevant engineering / maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Job-Specific Skills :

Detailed and expert knowledge of RO best-practice operational processes. Generic Skills :
