  • Canvassing cargoes COC for all trade lanes to achieve target liftings.
  • Increasing SeaLead’s market presence.
  • Maintaining existing clientele.
  • Expanding existing relationships by presenting new solutions and services to clients.
  • Developing new business opportunities; customers and revenue lines.
  • Forecasting and allocations.
  • Responsiveness to all quotations, troubleshooting, and handling of enquiries from customers.
  • Main tasks and responsibilities :

    • Developing strong business relationships with existing and new customers.
    • Achieving close support with clients through regular contact and visits to secure business.
    • Business development for designated trade lanes.
    • Developing new clientele via referrals, networks, and own initiatives.
    • Meeting individual KPIs and targets.
    • Suggesting improvements to enhance revenue and profitability.
    • Submitting regular reports on sales activities, performance, and plans via CRM.
    • Preparing forecasts, gathering, and reporting market intelligence.
    • Ensuring strict credit control, payment collection, and minimizing outstanding balances.
    • Coordinating with departments to resolve customer complaints and uphold service standards.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
    • Key interactions (Internal | External) :

      External : JV partners, Customers, Agents

      Internal : HO Trade Management, Other Departments

      Education requirements :

      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification.

      Background and experience :

      At least 5 years in sales within the shipping / container line industry.

      Competencies and skills :

    • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for reports and presentations.
    • Proven sales track record.
    • Stable employment history.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-oriented approach.
    • Self-motivated with a passion for engaging with people.
    • Strong negotiation and networking skills.
    • Ability to work independently, multitask, and handle work pressure.
    • Positive attitude and sales-driven mindset.
