To assess and test items, systems or products against defined user, system and other specifications towards confirming performance compliance.
Define and Compile test specifications in relation to the product specification.
Plan, execute and prepare reports on product tests, including field tests as may be required.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and compile Test and Evaluation Management Plans (TEMP) and instructions, deducted from system and other specifications as applicable.
Plan and budget tests, evaluations and field trials as required.
Prepare hardware in terms of Unit Under Test (UUT) as well as test equipment (TE) required to execute the test.
Ensure measurement equipment are calibrated prior to test execution.
Conduct pre-test meetings towards aligning of test procedures, expectations and roles and responsibilities of team members.
Coordinate and execute tests and evaluations according to plans in collaboration with team members as applicable.
Perform data analysis and interpretation on measured data using software and processing techniques as applicable.
Compile and maintain test reports and records, archived in the configuration management system. (Product Data Management (PDM))
Ensuring tests and results are accurate, repeatable, qualified and proven.
Participate in the redlining of product definitions, capturing improvements after test execution.
Manage and maintain test facilities and equipment.
Participate in HSE program and conduct tests making sure that good HSE practices are being observed.
Requirements of role :
Mechanical / Electro-mechanical / Electrical Degree or Diploma qualification.
Working knowledge of applicable performance standards with the ability to study and compile test plans and procedures according to experience and best practices.
Have a good understanding of the systems engineering concepts and interrelationships of processes.
Have a deep understanding of test and evaluation processes, techniques and execution.
Ability to utilize equipment in order to perform accurate and repeatable simulations and analysis.
Knowledge and experience in data analysis techniques and verification of data integrity.
Project management capabilities towards fulfillment of test objectives at affordable costs.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Test and Evaluation execution, with at least 3 years in a military context.
