About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with significant experience in consultancy projects. The successful candidate will create design for the mechanical systems (HVAC, Pluming & Fire Fighting) ensuring compliance with international & local codes in Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design and development of Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems for large-scale commercial, residential, and urban-scale developments. This role involves overseeing mechanical calculations, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical expertise and a proven track record of delivering high-performance building services solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop & oversee the design of Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems.
  • Prepare & generate spreadsheets for mechanical calculations.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers from other disciplines.
  • Collaborate with BIM engineers to meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Conduct client and project meetings as required.
  • Provide regular status updates.
  • Provide high-level technical expertise and solutions for complex building services challenges, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualification

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for large-scale projects.
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on building services (HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting).
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken

    • Competencies

  • Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks….etc.).
  • Proficiency in design software (HAP, Elite, Psychrometric chart, Duct sizer, pipe sizer….etc.).
  • Strong Understanding of mechanical design principles, construction method& building codes (ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA& SBC (501,601,701&801)).
  • Proven expertise in delivering high-performance projects for commercial, residential, and urban-scale developments.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with clients, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams.
