Senior Project Accounting Officer

JASARA PMC is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Project Accounting Officer to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the financial integrity of our key infrastructure projects, ensuring that accounting practices are followed and that financial reporting is accurate and timely. Your expertise will not only contribute greatly to financial planning and analysis, but you will also liaise with various departments to ensure a holistic understanding of project costs and revenues.

As the Senior Project Accounting Officer, you will take a proactive approach in managing financial transactions and reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while also driving improvements in our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple projects.
• Prepare and analyze periodic financial reports to provide insights on project performance and to support management decisions.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients, while managing accounts receivable and follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Collaborate with project managers and department leads to ensure that all financial matters are aligned with project goals.
• Review contracts and financial agreements, ensuring compliance and proper financial management.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
• Mentor and lead junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management, preferably within the construction or engineering sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of project accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
• Experience in budget management and financial forecasting is a plus.
