Job Summary
The Sales Engineer serves as the technical expert and sales specialist for the company’s products, bridging the gap between customer needs and product solutions. This role is responsible for driving sales growth by identifying customer requirements, providing technical support, delivering product presentations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. The Product Sales Engineer collaborates closely with the sales, engineering, and product development teams to tailor solutions, address technical inquiries, and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals to prospective and existing customers.
- Assist in crafting and presenting technical aspects of proposals and bids to address customer needs and objections.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and objectives and identify new business opportunities to generate new leads.
- Engage with customers to identify their technical requirements, provide product information, and address technical queries.
- Conduct site visits and technical assessments to understand customer environments and demonstrate how the product can meet their needs.
- Work with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions based on customer requirements and feedback.
- Provide input on product configurations, customizations, and technical adjustments necessary to fit client specifications.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s product portfolio, including features, benefits, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Product Sales Manager and sales team to develop strategies for product positioning, market entry, and customer acquisition.
- Contribute to sales planning and forecasting by providing technical insights and market feedback.
- Prepare technical documentation, including solution designs, product specifications, and implementation plans.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, technical challenges, and customer interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust.
- Address and resolve any technical issues or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.2–3 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the cables , electrical , or industrial sector.Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.Strong ability to understand and communicate technical product features.Demonstrates customer intelligence and accountability.Collaborates effectively with internal teams and external clients.#J-18808-Ljbffr
