Objective
Support to develop and administer solution design plans and processes to design and execute solutions in line with overall business strategy, product development, industry and market needs, Company guidelines and policies
General Responsibilities
- Execute solutions design plans and processes to deliver better and improved solutions for bids, operational requests, renewals, etc.
- Analyse bid requirements and our value proposition to enable solution designing.
- Design and support implementation of innovative and technology driven solutions.
- Gather and collate information on customer requirements, local expectations, sales success, and performance of solutions.
- Prepare documents and analysis as required for submission of solutions.
- Post design, provide clarifications to enable transition into customer implementation.
- Use and update global tools into the Centre of Excellence.
- Apply global cost models and activities to achieve higher uniformity and quality of solutions.
- May provide functional guidance, advice, or training to less experienced positions.
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
- Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own function.
- Build relationships and understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns.
- Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships

- Supervise professional level employees (typically entry and / or experienced level)
- Lead and manage the facility design team, setting goals, and achieving operational results.
- Contribute to defining an optimum structure for the Department, to ensure smooth workflow of operational processes and optimal utilisation of resources.
- Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the Department’s budget, monitor financial performance during the year and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.
- Identify and manage implementation of change initiatives on systems, processes and practices considering ‘international leading practices’, and / or other changes in the business environment.
- Drive change, adapt to new technologies and market demands, and foster a culture of innovation in the facility design practice.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
- Implement all relevant Department’s policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by, customers, and stakeholders.
- Present regular and ad-hoc management reports related to the function, provide recommendations to the Solution Design Director on new opportunities, highlight critical issues and challenges, and provide strategic insight to ensure effective decision-making.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience / qualification (preference Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering, Instrumentation and Controls) is required.Master's degree Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering, Instrumentation and Controls or a related field from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.Navigate warehouse design tools, Simulation and CLASS 2D design software.Advanced analytical skills.7 years’ experience in similar or related field.Proven experience in warehouse design or operations or in a similar role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
