Role Overview
This role provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site service, overseeing diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. It includes checking operational quality, instructing customers in operation and maintenance, and acting as a liaison on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. The position may involve support for system hardware, software, PCs, networking, and wireless systems. The focus is on providing Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) equipment field service support for delivered cargo systems (M60, P60, ZBV).
Responsibilities
- Carrying out basic repairs and maintenance of cargo systems (CVI)
- Serving as the local point of contact for technical issues in regional systems
- Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault finding on CVI systems and subsystems
- Supporting Mercedes vehicle service needs, including oil, lubricants, filters, etc.
- Organizing scheduled maintenance and repairs for cargo systems (M60 & P60)
- Providing oral and written responses to third-line technical requests from operational sites to engineers and customer reps
- Offering defect liability or post-acceptance support for CVI equipment
- Completing technical documentation, service reports, change requests, and inputting data into a database
- Ensuring all issued equipment, including vehicles, spares, consumables, tools, and test equipment, are maintained safely
- Interacting respectfully with customers and staff, sensitive to cultural and language differences
- Working safely in accordance with health and safety instructions
Qualifications
