Livestock Specialist
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the care and well‑being of our livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the health and condition of livestock on a daily basis
- Provide necessary care and treatment for sick or injured animals
- Develop and implement herd management plans to maximize productivity and profitability
- Oversee breeding programs and ensure proper mating of animals
- Maintain accurate records of herd health, production, and performance
- Manage feed rations to ensure proper nutrition for all animals
- Identify potential issues or risks within the herd and take necessary preventative measures
- Train and supervise farm workers in proper animal handling techniques
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to animal handling and husbandry practices
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science or related field preferredMinimum of 3 years experience working with livestock in a farm settingKnowledge of breeding programs, nutrition requirements, and herd management techniquesAbility to identify signs of illness or injury in animalsStrong communication skills in EnglishAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPreference will be given to Indian nationals currently residing in Riyadh with valid work visaBenefits
