Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment. At least five years of experience in HSE management systems, with an emphasis on conducting inspections and audits. Experience implementing and administering an ISO14001 system. Proficient understanding of environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability practices. Experience applying and interpreting technical environmental procedures in highly regulated organizations (preferred). Experience conducting environmental assessments and audits. Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Bachelor's degree in environmental science or a related field.
A leading Talent Acquisition Company in Saudi Arabia is looking for an experienced Environment Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that our environmental initiatives meet the regulatory requirements and align with our sustainability goals. You will work collaboratively with various departments to promote green practices and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure operational and construction compliance with environmental procedures and KAUST ISO14001 : 2015 requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date environmental compliance obligations register, identifying compliance obligation gaps, and regularly updating the compliance obligation register.
- Lead all aspects of uptake and communication of environmental-HSE Information Management System to HSE customers.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, inspections and audits, and environmental review of land use permit applications.
- Participate in environmental risk assessment.
- Lead tracking and reporting of contractor performance, e.g., environmental incidents, actions, waste generation, air emissions, risk register reviews, environmental KPIs, and training.
- Participate in community environmental outreach activities, including engaging students and researchers.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned.
