UPM is looking for a highly qualified Strategy Specialist to support the university’s strategic initiatives through data‑driven analysis and performance insights.
Functional Description
The Strategy Specialist will develop, monitor, and evaluate the university’s strategic initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting institutional data to guide decision‑making, improve outcomes, and support evidence‑based planning across all units.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyze institutional and departmental data to support strategic and operational planning.
- Design and maintain interactive dashboards, performance scorecards, and analytical reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel).
- Conduct data analysis, trend forecasting, and scenario modeling to identify opportunities for institutional improvement.
- Convert complex data into clear and practical insights to support leadership decisions.
- Monitor and evaluate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with the university’s strategic goals and operational plans.
- Support the preparation of strategic reports, performance reviews, and accreditation documentation through quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with institutional data governance standards.
- Conduct benchmarking and comparative studies with national and international institutions.
- Collaborate with departments to design data collection tools, surveys, and templates for tracking performance metrics.
- Prepare analytical briefs, presentations, and visual summaries that communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Participate in institutional effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.Knowledge of statistical methods and data visualization techniques.Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).Ability to interpret data and translate findings into strategic recommendations.High level of professionalism, integrity, and organizational skills.Application Procedure
