Job Purpose / Objective : Act as a contact point for all procurement related activities between suppliers and concerned departments, manage and control inventory level to meet HMG operational requirements in the most efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Review auto create screen on Oracle to accept / reject requisitions by verifying completeness under his / her responsibility.
• Analyze item history to verify specific details i.e. brand name, possible supplier, price etc.
• Prepare request for quotation to meet the purchasing category & user requirement through Oracle application.
• Conduct necessary negotiations with supplier regarding items, conditions, delivery and prices.
• Review purchase requests and communicate with requesting departments to clarify incomplete information.
• Review and analyze proposals / quotations for purpose of determining which vendor are responsive to the requirements of the solicitation and are within competitive range.
• Prepare all the necessary documents e.g. contract. LC application.
• Generate & issue Purchase Orders.
• Generate & issue Releases for Blanket Purchase Orders.
• Report to the supervisor any work related problems or issues.
• Help and support with Purchasing Coordinator with any work related problems or issues.
• Follow HMG / Department policies and procedures.
• Source and build relations with new suppliers and explore new products and companies according to the needs.
• Monitor market changes, competitor prices and products.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
• Perform other applicable task(s) and duties assigned within the realm of his knowledge, skill and abilities.
