2. OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for leading procurement and contracting activities for major projects within KSA and internationally. The role focuses on developing and implementing sourcing strategies for project bidding, procurement of major equipment, and preparation of procurement and construction packages.
Ensures full compliance with company policies, standards, and local content requirements while applying best practices across all projects to optimize value creation and operational efficiency. Coordinates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Contribution (25%)
Contribute to the company’s overall strategic objectives through effective procurement and contracting management.
Enhance local content and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
Secure the most effective sourcing and contracting strategies.
Drive continuous improvement and leverage competition to achieve cost efficiency.
Implement best practices and lessons learned to improve performance and value.
Contract Administration (75%)
Ensure full compliance with project contracts, policies, and delegation of authority.
Support new project teams in understanding procurement processes and procedures.
Provide project-specific contracting strategies and consultation to managers and project teams.
Lead contract negotiations, manage claims, disputes, and contract amendments.
Coordinate with Legal Counsel for high-value or complex contractual matters.
4. COMMUNICATIONS & RELATIONSHIPS
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal departments.
Build and sustain professional relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Ensure transparency and alignment among all stakeholders.
5. KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
Strong expertise in procurement, subcontracting, and project management for large-scale industrial projects.
Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and customer relationship skills.
Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Deep understanding of supply chain policies, supplier qualification, and performance management.
6. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
15–20 years of experience in procurement and contracting within industrial, petrochemical, or mining sectors.
