Senior Traffic SME

Overview

Senior Traffic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Transport & Infrastructure team for a major project based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia . This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all traffic engineering and traffic management aspects during the construction and operational phases of a large-scale transport infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review, approval, and supervision of temporary and permanent traffic management plans and detour strategies.
• Ensure traffic management designs are compliant with local standards, project-specific requirements, and international best practices.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, contractors, and traffic enforcement for successful implementation of traffic diversions and staging.
• Monitor and supervise on-site implementation of traffic control measures, ensuring safety and minimal disruption to road users.
• Identify and mitigate traffic-related risks, and support interface coordination across multiple contractors and project zones.
• Provide strategic guidance on traffic flow optimization, congestion reduction, and public access during construction.
• Lead the development of incident response plans and ensure emergency access routes are maintained at all times.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to capacity building within the project team.
• Prepare and present technical reports, dashboards, and briefings to project stakeholders.
