About Us

At Strataphy, we deliver geothermal Cooling as a Service (CAS) with reduced CAPEX, a monthly subscription model based on usage, and help cut energy and CO₂ by 50% while reducing surface footprint by 30%. We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our growing team in the MENA region and help us deploy next‑gen systems across aquaculture, poultry, agriculture, data centres, light & heavy manufacturing, and commercial buildings.

Role Summary

  • Lead the technical proposals for HVAC / energy systems (including geothermal-based systems)
  • Undertake system design and efficiency optimization of HVAC / energy systems aligned with sustainability goals and high COPs
  • Perform energy modeling and simulation to predict performance, validate designs, and support business case development

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present technical proposals for HVAC / energy systems, including concept, scope, budget and timeline
  • Design HVAC and energy systems (mechanical services, hydronic loops, etc) for commercial, industrial and data centre environments
  • Analyse system efficiency, identify improvements, and implement performance enhancements
  • Conduct energy modelling and simulation (load calculations, system behaviour, COP and efficiencies)
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, operations teams and clients to ensure integration and performance targets are met
  • Monitor evolving technologies (e.g., advanced drilling tech, ORC systems) and integrate best-in-class solutions to leverage underutilization of subsurface resources
  • Contribute to project execution monitoring, commissioning support and performance validation

    • Qualifications & Skills

  • (Must) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering or similar
  • (Must) At least three years of experience
  • (Must) Proven experience designing HVAC / energy systems in industrial or commercial settings
  • Strong skills in energy modelling, load calculations and system efficiency analysis
  • Familiar with relevant codes / standards for HVAC and energy systems
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present proposals and design rationales to internal / external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving mindset and ability to work in a fast‑paced startup environment
