Certification such as CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS-CWI is preferred. Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO). Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Verify qualifications and performance of welders and welding operators.
- Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards.
- Inspect welds using visual inspection and NDT methods (e.g., RT, UT, MT, PT).
- Review material certificates and ensure traceability of welding consumables.
- Coordinate with production, QA / QC, and client / third-party inspectors for welding inspections and approvals.
- Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed welding quality documentation and inspection reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to welding staff.
