The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all fulfillment center operations facilities planning, and for managing our 3rd party service providers for maintenance and facilities services. This role will be based out of Mumbai, India.
Responsibilities
- Overall building and facilities maintenance (reliability, performance, cost, etc.)
- Equipment maintenance for trolleys, conveyors, workstations, labeling machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, etc., leading a team of 3rd‑party technicians
- Develop and apply preventive maintenance routines on equipment
- Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment
- Follow up on required material purchasing with the procurement team
- Develop and maintain spare‑part inventory and part identification
- Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability
- Manage day‑to‑day equipment issues with operations teams, define priorities, and organize work with the team
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and 3rd‑party facilities service providers; define goals, priorities, staff planning, and training to ensure service levels
- Ensure a safe working environment by applying Amazon’s Safety Policy and working with the safety team to improve safety on site
- Maintain building housekeeping to keep the site within 5S standards
- Support the engineering team for installation of new equipment
Basic Qualifications
BE / BTEC in Electrical / Electronics / Controls & InstrumentationSignificant impactful experience in a similar role ideally in a fast‑paced industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environmentDiploma holder (engineer preferred)Results‑oriented approach with good analytical, team leadership and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressure in a cross‑functional organizationAbility to work with minimal supervisionElectrical and mechanical backgroundExperience in HVAC installation, sprinklers, and general building equipmentExperience managing subcontractors to ensure quality of workExperience troubleshooting installation, fault finding, and repairsAbility to read technical drawings and manualsPrevious experience in a supervisory role managing peopleComputer skills (MS Office required, CMMS, AutoCAD preferred, etc.)Preferred Qualifications
